A good conscience is a soft pillow
Since 1994 Lydia Fromont was part of Farid Berki’s Compagnie Melting Spot (hip hop and mixture of styles). She has participated in the majority of the company’s creations such as ‘Fantazia’, ‘Systèmes d’influences’, ‘Atomixité’, ‘Six fous…en quête de hauteur’.
In 1998 she met the african dancer Katina Genero (Cie Kaïdara) and she participated in a creation for the parade of Turin.
In 1999 she explored the dimension of experimental performance while working with Compagnie Lubat and with the accordeon player Marc Peronne.
In 2002 Fromont participated in the creation of the opera La Chauve-Souris as a hip hop dancer at l’Opéra Bastille (Coline Serreau/Laura Scozzi).
She created Hip-no-tic in 2004, a short piece for six dancers on uner the artistic direction of Farid Berki.
In 2005 she joined Faso Dance Theatre and was part of the creation A benguer She has been part of various project of Faso Danse Theatre, such as the project Mappemonde, created for the National Choreographic Center of Roubaix (Carolyn Carlson)
Fromont created her first solo "La Peau et Les Os" in the fall of 2008.
